Corey and Maryam got married in December at the gorgeous Magdalene Carney Baha'i Institute. I had the chance to visit the grounds before the wedding and I wasn't sure what to expect...but let me tell you in was simply beautiful! It is always a photographers dream to be inspired by the place they are shooting and I was inspired. The place was peaceful with lush landscaping. When we arrived, the lighting was perfect and the weather was cool and breezy...great for pre-ceremony pictures. These two were fun with the camera...they were THEM: goofy, fun and at ease :)
Being a wedding photographer is inspiring in general. When the wedding is over, I always leave thankful that I got to be a small part of the big day. So thank you Corey & Maryam, wonderful friends and family. I wish you two a lifetime of happiness!
Here's a few of my favorites and a slideshow at the end!

share the love to benefit the Haitian earthquake relief effort

Hi guys.
Just wanted to drop in and share a bit about our weekend event. It was fun...got to talk shop with all the amazing SoFly photographers and hang out in downtown Hollywood. It's always inspiring to hang out with a mass group of woman photographers...my head is always swimming with ideas and inspirations when I leave. And thank you Courtney for organizing this event. You outdid yourself.
Thanks Sow A Seed
Thanks Tookie for being such a sport and sweet child. Tookie is the son of one of the photographers. He came along to paint the sidewalks, play and keep us entertained. Just put him in a shopping cart and roll him around and he's happy.

Bring your family, kids, significant other or even your dog! This is an amazing event and all proceeds will be donated to aid the Haitian earthquake relief effort!!! If you can't come, please pass this on. Heck, pass it on anyway.
Makes my heart happy. Photographing for a cause.

This post is the get the blogging juices flowing!
These past few weeks have been tough. With Internet outage for a week and then a sick fiancé to take care of, the blog has taken a back burner.
But I was doing a little winter cleaning on my computer and I found this image from a SoFly bridal shoot and thought it was too gorgeous not to share.... Enjoy!

I hope everyone had a happy New Year! 2010 is going to be a great year because I just KNOW it. I have started the year off right with lots of R&R and exercise. It's amazing what Yoga and a little cardio will do for the soul. The house and even the junk draw have been 'winter cleaned' too! Yah boy.
Last year the words "rest and relaxation" were not part of LLP's vocabulary. Even though this job is a labor of love, I think it is easy to get caught up on the small things and to lose sight of the things in life that matter the most: love, family, friends and fun time! So I am hoping that 2010 will bring a healthy balance between my love of photography and love of life. 2009 was an inspiring year full of love, laughs and even tough times. Through all the tough times in 2009, I am thankful because I enter the New Year as a stronger woman, fiancé, daughter, friend and photographer. And as always, thank you to all of our wonderful clients for an amazing 2009 and we can't wait to see you in the New Year! :)
And in the spirit of love, here are a few sneaks from Miranda & Jeff's couple shoot over the break. They are high school seniors and instead of senior portraits they opted to have their pictures taken together :)
Andddddd because we took an extended break over the holidays, more shoots will be catching up to the blog this week....
so them.
sweet and SO sensitive :)
